Unboxing The Printer

  • Unpack the box and remove the setup documents, power cord, and ink cartridges from the package.
  • Now, slowly pull the printer out of the package and remove the foam packing materials.
  • Take the HP Envy printer out of its plastic bag.
  • In case there are any blue protective tapes around the printer, discard them as well.

Connecting The Power Cord

  • Plug the power cord into the rear of your printer. Connect the other end to a wall socket.
  • The HP ENVY Pro 6475 printer will turn on automatically, and a purple light will flash at the machine’s center.

Installing The Hp Smart App

  • Launch the default web browser on your computer and visit the printer’s official support page.
  • Choose the Support tab at the top of the window and select the Software and drivers option.
  • Click the Printer category.
  • In the next window, type your printer model name below the Enter your product name field.
  • Now, click on the Submit button.
  • Click on the blue Install button below the Installation Software section.

  • Now, the HP Smart app will start to download.

  • Choose your HP ENVY Pro 6475 printer from the list and click the Continue button.
  • Now, perform the on-screen prompts to complete the printer setup.
  • Once you’re prompted, install the ink cartridges and load the paper into your printer.

Loading The Paper

  • Slide the input tray out of your printer.
  • Move the paper width guide to the outermost position.
  • Insert a stack of plain white sheets into the paper tray and adjust the paper width guide until it rests at the edge of the stack.
  • Close the input tray.

Installing The Ink Cartridges

  • When you’re setting up your printer for the first time, a light will blink at the machine’s corner, which indicates that you should install the ink cartridges.
  • Now, lift the ink cartridge access door of your printer.
  • Unpack one of the cartridges from the package.
  • Discard the protective tapes from the ink cartridge.
  • Now, lift the lid and insert the ink cartridge into the respective slot.
  • Close the cartridge lid.
  • Repeat the above instructions to insert the remaining ink cartridges.
  • You can now close the ink cartridge access door.
  • Now, the printer will automatically print the alignment page. You have to load the alignment page with the print side down on the scanner glass to finish the alignment process.
